| Cleansing, Clearing and Charging Your Gemstones Many of you have asked me the question, "How do I cleanse, clear or charge my crystals and gemstones?" The truth is you really can't go wrong when cleansing your gemstones, because there is no wrong way to do it. Here are some of the many different ways, so you can choose the one that's right for you. 1. One way is to lay your gemstones in the moonlight during a Full Moon or New Moon; or you can sit water in the Full Moon or New Moon and then place the crystals in that water to cleanse them. Water charged under the New Moon is especially potent for initiating projects or energies associated with the sign that the New Moon is in. Water charged under the Full Moon is good for working with relationships, choices, or bringing things to manifestation. 2. Another way is to use the Native American Indian way of smudging your stones with sage. Many different kinds of sage are available, like white sage or sweet grass, so pick what feels right to you. Then just surround the stone or crystal with the msoke from the sage until you feel they are sufficiently cleared. 3. You can also place your stones and crystals in a bowl of sea salt. Sea salt is now at your local grocery store, so this is very easy to do. You can leave them in there overnight or for as long as you feel comfortable. 4. You can bury your stones in the ground, thus returning them to the Earth where they will be grounded and cleansed, like a "going back home" type of rebirthing treatment. The length of time you need to leave them there is up to you, but some say 24 hours. 5. Use words of power to cleanse your stones. This means you hold the crystal in your hand and you chant from one of the five sacred languages over it. One that I like to use is the Hebrew saying, "Kadoish, Kadoish, Kadoish Adonai Sabayoth" which means in English, "Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God is Host" or you can use "Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh" which means "I am that I am", the name for God that He gave to Moses on Mount Sinai. 6. You can also simply reprogram a crystal to cleanse it by using the power of your mind and your own intention makes it so. Remember the mind is a powerful thing. If you can visualize something you can make it happen. On the other side of life, we use our minds for everything we do. If we want to see someone or go someplace, we merely think it and we are there. We still have that capability within us, so utilize it. 7. There are extreme cases in which a crystal may need some special attention. Maybe it was used for a traumatic healing of some kind, or you just feel it isn't being cleansed well enough for you. If this is the case, you can freeze the crystal or stone or put it out in the snow to slow down its molecular structure and then proceed with one of these ways listed above to cleanse and recharge it. If one of these ways feels right to you, then it is right for you. You can also combine any two ways to get a thorough cleaning. And if you decide to make up your own way to cleanse your stones, that's okay too, because you could be led by spirit to a new idea. As Henry Ford said, "Whether you think you can, or whether you think you can't, you are right!" So whichever way you choose to cleanse, clear and charge your crystals, believe in it and it will work for you!
